GOD'S WORD SAYS…
ALL things work for the good of God's people who are called for His purposes. His word also assures us that God has a plan for us, even through frustration!
In 1891, at the age of 30, James Naismith, a Christian leader of young people, grew frustrated as he attempted to help youth develop Christ-like character.
His frustration motivated him to invent a game to "win souls for the Master,' to build character and be an example" that game, God's game, is basketball. Naismith felt he could "better exemplify the Christian life through sports than in a pulpit."
The next time tough times present themselves to you on the court, I challenge you to "stay true to our game" and know that God has a plan for your pain, just as he'd did for Dr. Naismith.
Had Naismith not pushed past the pain and fought through frustration to trust God, the game you love, that's provided you some of the best moments of your life, that taught you so many life lessons, forced you to overcome failures, gave you life long friends and helped you develop character would have never been. As a result, your life would not be complete.
