The Basketball Story
In 1891, at the age of 30, James Naismith, a Christian leader of young people, grew frustrated as he attempted to help youth develop Christ-like character. His frustration motivated him to invent a game to "win souls for the Master,' to build character and to be an example" that game, God's game, is basketball.
