All Gas No Brakes

🙌🏾No matter what Kobe accomplished, he approached his career with an “I can always be better” mentality.⠀

🏆Of the many things that prove Kobe is built waaayyyyy different, his commitment to continued improvement may be the most impressive.

😤Mamba was never content! Others who accomplished only a fraction of what he did hit the brakes and operated in cruise control once they tasted a bit of success. Kobe continued to apply pressure and smash the gas.⠀

 ⛹🏽‍♂️Kobe’s mindset was so aggressive towards improvement that I don’t think he even had brakes!

🤯Even when he was done hooping, he still leveled up. Who else do you know can go straight from basketball to winning an Oscar, really, who does that?⠀

⛽️As it relates to us being all God called for us to be and fulfilling His calling, are we all gas and no brakes towards continued improvement like Kobe?

🎁God blesses us with the gift of a new day for a purpose. This means if you’re reading this, God has work for you to do.

 🗣On that note, keep in mind you serve an excellent God, meaning you can’t fulfill His will with a mediocre mindset that’s content with yesterday’s accomplishments.

  ⛽️⛽️⛽️No sir! God woke you up to like Kobe, apply maximum pressure, and keep your foot on the gas.

📖Proverbs 16:3 - Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.

And 1: Identify an area of your life where, despite your success, you need to have an "I can be better" mentality.

Drop a dime: Identify someone close to you that, despite their success needs you to encourage them to not settle, and instead be even better. Share this devotional with them.

Prayer: Lord, we pray for a continued spirit of excellence in all we do. Despite our accomplishments and success, we ask you to lead us to apply pressure always with our foot on the gas as we pursue all you have for us in every area of our life. Also, we remain in continued prayer for the healing, strength, and comfort for the families of; Kobe and Gianna Bryant, John, Alyssa, and Keri Altobelli, Sarah and Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, and Ara Zobayan.
