Believe From The Inside Out

🤣Shaq discussed how Kobe, at 17 years old, assured him that he would be one the best ever. He blew him off, laughed, and labeled him a delusional kid that was out of touch with reality. Despite that, Kobe's belief in his future self never waivered.⠀

🌬Even after Kobe's airball game as a rookie in the playoffs when most labeled him a bust who choked in the clutch, his faith in his ability still never wavered.⠀

🤔Why and how did Kobe still believe in himself despite very few if any validating his talent early on and after he frequently failed, publicly and big during his rookie year?⠀

1️⃣- He was mentally strong enough to not need external factors to validate who he was capable of becoming.⠀

2️⃣- He refused to be defined by previous failures.

🐍 Many allow their worth, belief in who they can be, and what they can accomplish to be activated by past failures and what others see in them and say about them. Kobe's Mamba Mentality contradicted that and instead was internally activated.⠀

🥇As God's children, if we activate internally, we too will be able to crash through glass ceilings and breakthrough closed doors like Kobe did his entire career.⠀

🙌🏾For us, we activate our internal "Mamba Mentality" by looking to the God inside of us to inform us of; who we are and what we will become.⠀

⚠️Not from others and not even from self. The confidence others have in us, as well as our self-confidence can only take us so far. ⠀

‼️There will be times in our life where the challenges we are going through exceeds the confidence others have in us. Even the confidence we have in ourselves. During those times, if you don't navigate through life with GODfidence, you will crumble.

📢Godfidence is confidence on steroids. It's unshakeable, no matter how bad things feel and appear, you believe not in yourself, but in the God that made you, that's with you and even in you to overcome all adversity, which is your source to move forward anyhow.⠀

📖Ephesians 3:20 - Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

And 1: Identify an area in your life right now where you need to activate your Mamba Mentality and increase your internal belief instead of looking for external validation to be the source of future excellence.

Drop a dime: Identify at least one friend or teammate that needs to tap into their Godfidence and share this devotional with them.

Prayer: Lord, we come to you first thanking you and asking you to continue to unleash your Godfidnce inside of us. As you do, we will no longer need to be validated externally to pursue excellence in all we do.
